Jonathan Marsh – Operations Manager (Northamptonshire Repair Lab)
Joined STERIS in September 2014
Describe what a day in your job role is like:
I try to catch up with all departments to see what’s happening each day and what pressures, frustrations or problems they’re facing. With the growth and change we’re going through currently I am spending a lot of time on recruitment, planning individual responsibilities and better understanding/organising the operational flow of work coming in – as we grow with more people. I also try to check regularly the performance of the site, updating reports. This helps me understand resource pressures and requirements.
What did you do before you joined STERIS?
I earned a Maths Degree at Nottingham University, graduating in June 2014.
What is your favourite part about your role?
Affecting positive change, influencing future business strategies and creating operational efficiencies.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like most sports, so if there’s an opportunity to watch or better yet play/compete in something, I try to do so. I also love travelling, so a good road trip through Europe or elsewhere is often a holiday my wife and I try to book in.
Anything else that you would like to tell us about yourself:
I have run with the Bulls in Pamplona Spain.
